Swathes of schoolchildren picketed the halls of power globally. Their message clear. Start thinking about the earth morons. They are aware. Aware of what lies their parents and grandparents have swallowed for generations. aware that there is no planet B, aware that we will destroy the earth with our subservience to corporate greed, aware that mister and missus politician are selling out their future health and wellbeing in favour of profitable returns for overly wealthy shareholders.
What has been the predictable response. Denial. Denial of an issue that is simply unprofitable for the immediate future. The prehistoric powers who uphold and enforce the archaic ideologies of their ill educated forbears would have us believe that humanity will disappear if the fossil fuel market were to be eradicated. That society itself would collapse if the nepotistic corporate democracy were forced to act with ecological considerations in mind.
Meanwhile Australian politicians seem convinced that promoting racial division is the most pressing issue of our time. A policy that has given rise to a nursery of terrorists within our own borders. The man to the right is one such terrorist. He took a gun to a place of worship and commenced to massacre innocent people whilst they were engaging in the act of prayer. An act that has drawn outright condemnation from everybody except conservative politicians and far right supporters. All of whom gave lip service to the victims before using the tragedy to spruik their philosophies of hate.
One such politician was Senator Fraser Anning, who continued spawned international spurn and condemnation with his ridiculous comments suggesting the real cause of the terrorist attack was allowing Muslims into new Zealand. He continued his agenda of hatred one day later by giving a press conference in a thinly veiled attempt to deflect ire over his divisive comments redirect attention to the only threat he and the rest of his ilk see as real.
Once more, however, the youth would have its say. In a simple action that has since raised his status to that of god emperor amongst the tech savvy youth, Will Connolly smashed an egg into the back of Fraser Anning's hairless head. The action has since invigorated a long dormant sentiment in Australia that views hatred based terrorism as Un-Australian as not wagging school to hang out with your mates. The protest is once more predictably being labelled as a stunt by Right wing proponents of racial division. Most likely concerned about the bottom line of politics. Shareholders profits.

social media saves hippies life
Peace, love and mungbeans seem to be in short supply in nimbin after a local resident was shot by an arrow on Wednesday morning.
The 42 year old man was climbing out of his car when he noticed a another man holding a bow and arrow. He then raised his phone to document the attempt as the man fired. the arrow pierced the phone, which saved the mans life. Police later arrested the assailant, who is due to face court in April.

Protective Service Officers Assault Innocent Woman In Flinders Street Arrest Attempt
A young woman trying to use a public footpath was forcibly shoved into a wall by Protective Service Officers on Sunday morning. Officers maintain that she was warned several times to "step back, step back" and even went as far as threatening the Australian citizen with capsicum spray in an attempt to assert dominion over a public thoroughfare. Predictably Victorian Police have defended the reprehensible actions of the glorified security guards stating that they believe it all to be the fault of the young woman for walking down the street with the belief she has freedom of movement within Australian borders.
Amazingly a video taken by a third party shows the man PSO's were intending to arrest shows more concern for the young woman's safety than the officers. Who continued to threaten the would be suspect as attempted to see if the woman was alright.
This comes on the back of reports that an infant and a pre-school aged child were incidentally affected by the use of capsicum spray in another arrest attempt just two days earlier. Both were taken too hospital for treatment along with a third innocent bystander.

Conservative Politics Still Focussing On Ensuring No Man Is Left Behind
Conservatives have had a hard time of late. Their childhood wonderland of ignorant bigotry has been eroded on a daily basis by the on going social re-distribution of power, and they are getting frustrated. It shows with the comments of scott morrison, supposed spokesperson of Australia's population en masse at a function held to celebrate the role of women in both our society and economy.
"We want to see the rise of women in this country to be accelerated to ensure that their overall place is maintained"
The irony of the statement seems lost on morrison who still claims his party has no problem with women. It highlights, however, exactly how heigh and steep the metaphorical mountain is that women have to climb in order to be allowed to sit at the same table of the mysoginistic gatekeepers of the Australian parliament. In fact according to morrison, whose current government is under fire due to its mass exodus of female members over claims of misogyny and bullying, women do not only have to petition the public for the right to represent their views, but must also petition for another seat to be added to the table. To quote morrison directly
"We don't want to see women rise on the basis of others doing worse"
In an election year one has to question the motifs of our governing body, if only for the sake of our nations direction for the next three years. With statements like this one also has to ask whether Australia can afford another three years of Paleolithic conservative politicians in charge. Or as recent liberal party departee Julia bishop said
“No nation will reach its potential unless and until it fully engages with the skills and talents and energy and ideas of the 50 per cent of its population that is female."
Given Julia Bishop spent more time as deputy prime minister than Scott Morrison has as a sitting member of parliament, the question remains, how long will the conservative female voters of Australia tolerate such inequality in the representation of their voices by a prime minister and a party that clearly doesn't feel their voices are relevant. At least not at the expense of a male member, regardless of qualification.
